I broke my spine snowboarding when I hit a sign that had fallen down onto the trail and been covered by snow. I was in a car accident in 2001 and suffered from permanent injury. I had hired an attorney that I saw advertised on television (a local one). He wasn't willing to take it all the way and if I kept going his way, I would have had to file bankruptcy because of the medical expenses alone and he wasn't even reducing his fee so I fired him.
