General Info

We are Dave and Meri Hartford. We have owned and operated our business for 16 years, first as a custom picture framing shop and gallery featuring the work of about 20 local artists. A few years ago we saw the need to expand our horizons in light of the changing economy. The name of the business was "The Framing Gallery" when we bought it. Realizing how restrictive that name was we changed to "Artworks!". The new name has helped us embrace a range of art related projects. We've been fortunate to have established unique relationships with individuals and organizations beyond those directly related to picture framing. Meri has a B.S. degree from the University of Maine. Prior to becoming self-employed with her husband, she worked as a lab technician and is passionate about research and attention to detail. Dave's education and background is in manufacturing engineering and production. Their combined skills and enthusiasm for taking on new projects provides clients and associates with an effective advocate...Artworks! Productions.
