        The Makai Beach Resort is a beachside hotel located at the connection of Daytona Beach and Ormond Beach, this allows us to offer the fun of Daytona Beach with the pristine white sands of Ormond Beach, we are also the closest hotel to the ocean in the whole area. The hotel has a private beach entrance and beach side pool, kiddie pool, hot tub, grills, shuffle board and more. All rooms have modern LED Tv's with HBO included, free WIFI and most rooms have a fullsize kitchen with the rest having at a minimum a fridge and microwave. Free parking is provided and we can accomodate any sized vehicle. We offer typical hotel amenities like vending, laundry, free ice and a 24 hour front desk manned with knowledgeable staff.         Overall

        There was hair and debris in the bathtub, a used bar of soap and half-empty bottle of shampoo, the toilet didn't work, (I had to make two trips to the front desk to get a plunger.) The hot tub smells like 100% Clorox, and to top it all off, there was a mass of dried vomit on the sheets, tucked in between the mattress and box springs. I also swept three or four handfulls of moldy french-fries out from underneath our bed. When I complained to the front-desk, I was basically called a liar, and then offered a one night refund of $90. When I told the manager to let me give them a call when I found out what my travel partner wanted to do, I was informed that "It doesn't matter what you want at this point. It matters what we want, and we want you to leave." Worst hotel I've EVER been to. Buyer Beware.
