Abide In The Vine Child Care Center

I love Abide in the Vine Child Care Center. They are a clean center and genuinely care for the children. They are a faith based child care but they don't cram anything down your throat. It's subtle. As per the previous review concerning asbestos - I've asked for info regarding that and was pleased to be handed a report proving that an asbestos abatement was performed and there is no threat to the children. Donna Hoover runs a tight ship and it's evident in the way the rooms are cleaned and taken care of. The staff is friendly and very good with the kids. I've reviewed their profile on New York State OCFS site and any concerns are quickly fixed and taken care of. I am proud to have my child at AVCCC and will for many years to come!

My expeirience with this daycare was anything but terrific, and the administration here did not treat me fairly. The administration is very hypocritical when it comes to their philosophy on children, I've overheard Dona Hoover say that a child was possessed by the devil, she's a basketcase and only cares about her money. I would recommend that ANY state inspector reading this post make an unscheduled visit to this facility and see actually just how poorly it is run, they do a lot of fixing up and making sure that they are doing everything RIGHT when they know that the state is coming. I would know because I worked there. The whole place is filled with asbestos as well.

Abide in the vine child care center is a fantastic facility. I have a child there and have referred many people to the center as well. Their staff is well educated and have a real interest in the safety and caring of the children. It is obvious that the teachers and staff as well as the administration really enjoy their jobs and truely care about all the children in the center. It is a large facility accomodating over 100 children with age appropriate rooms for children right from infants up to school age levels. It is built in an old elementary school and therefore has actual classrooms for all the children which i find very refreshing as a parent. I found that the seperation for the age groups to be very beneficial for my child versus all the children in one large classroom. They really are there to care and teach the children instead of a glorified babysitting service. It is well worth the time to tour the facility in person.
