Silvestro's Depot Cafe

I've been coming here since I was a kid (Im 49) & this family run business is still just as fantastic! Warm atmosphere, great music from the 50's (old blue eyes & such-some Italian tunes to boot) & mouth-watering food! Had THE King Prime Rib & it's worth every penny! Ask for it Medium & it's buttery & melts on the tongue! Wow~what a cook! That King is soooo HUGE-it fills the plate & stands at least 2" tall (NO LIE)! Have had the lasagna & pastas too - true Italian! Fast & Friendly service ~ Go visit ~ enjoy your meal & have an ice cold beer from the bar delivered by your waitress. They are right across the street from the Old Depot built in mid-1800's which is now closed. Used to get my coke from the old coke machines (pull bottles out from a hole in big red coke refrigerator) when I was a kid. Anyway...Visit Silvestro's next time you're in Lake County! While in the area from Lorain County on business, we visited this restaurant for lunch at the recommendation of a staff member at a Painesville clinic. The atmosphere is warm and has an local appeal and situated off the red brick road by the railroad. VERY GOOD food and the price was right. The Lasagna portion was huge and the waitress said the dinner portion was twice the size. Service was excellent. I would definitely make the trip again after working hours to enjoy this food.
