Pre-prosthetic surgery can improve a patient’s prognosis for a crown or bridge. Pre-prosthetic surgery can include bone smoothing, reshaping, or removal in preparation for the fitting of an oral prosthetic device. Dr. Lifferth may also need to remove excess gum tissue and expose or extract impacted teeth as part of this process.
Bridges
The All-on-4 treatment concept replaces your missing teeth with a provisional full dental non-removable fixed bridge supported by only 4 titanium dental implants in either your lower or upper jaw. With less implants needed, overall treatment time and cost is reduced.

Root Canal Treatment
I had perfect teeth until... until I had a root canal. Then, the root canal didn't take. Dr. Peers and his staff saved me. I was devastated and felt like a toothless hillbilly. However, they worked around my teaching schedule, got me in and fixed. I'm not longer a toothless hillbilly because of Dr. Peers and his lovely staff.

Dentures
Alveoloplasty can address protruding bone tissue so that your denture or other tooth replacement solution will fit properly.

Dental Implants
The unique All-on-4 solution also ensures greater stability in the bone, reducing the need for bone graft surgery which is normally necessary to increase bone volume. Your new teeth are crafted in the time between your initial consultation and your dental implant placement, allowing for your All-on-4 teeth to be placed on the same day as your dental implant supports. After a short healing period, the final bridge will be placed, and you can continue using your non-removable teeth to chew, laugh and smile every day!

Jaw Surgery
You probably do not think too much about your jaw unless there is a problem. Maxillofacial Surgery
David grew up in Centerville, UT, just north of Salt Lake City, where he enjoyed all of the outdoor activities that Utah has to offer. After graduating from the University of Utah with his bachelor’s degree, David and his wife, Malorie, moved to Arizona to attend the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health. It was here that his interest in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery was solidified which lead him to continue his education at the University of Tennessee in Memphis for his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency. He is now excited to return to Utah and be part of the Aspire team.
Tooth Extractions
Essentially, the goal of reshaping your jaw is to make sure that whatever tooth replacement option you receive fits properly, without instability or discomfort. Often, Dr. Lifferth will perform an alveoloplasty during a tooth extraction to avoid the need for a second procedure later in your treatment process.
Bone Grafting
Our team will use advanced technology to take highly accurate, 3-D scans of your jaw and oral structure. With these images, Dr. Lifferth can diagnose the severity of bone loss so there are no surprises during the bone grafting procedure. He will also take time to explain the procedure in detail, providing you with pre-surgical and post-surgical instructions to follow to ensure a smooth recovery.
