i truly like Cafe Bizou....it's not a fancy restaurant...but a very cozy cute spot that me and my husband like to go time to time...the staff is always very friendly...they are usually always packed, its a full house almost evertyime i've been there for dinner, so i do recommend making reservations...my favorite thing on the menu is their salmon...its simply delicious!

It was an unbelievable terrible service. I made a reservation at 8pm on Friday during the DineLA week. We arrived at 7:30pm. We checked in with the front desk lady. She said we had to wait so I asked how long. She replied until 8pm in a very rude manner. She also said there are people with 7:45pm reservation that I had to wait until all of them showed up. I thought OK, it is Friday and I just waited. There were walk ins and she put their names in front of me on her book. I started to get upset especially she basically ignored my party was already there. When it was 8pm, I asked her again how long I had to wait. She said my reservation is at 8pm so she will seat me at 8pm. In addition, she also let the walk-in people seat in front of us. She said they had only 2 people in the party and I had 3. I said what is the difference and she said unless I wanted to have 3 people sitting in a booth and have a chair on the aisle. I said "fine, just let us sit". Then, she became even more rude and she said, "you asked for it". Oh my goodness, what kind of comment is that!!! We sat down and had our food. The service was so so and they were really hurried to put things down. Before we could finished, they dropped us the check. It was like "please hurry and leave" kind of attitude. I just thought if I was eating at some Chinese BBQ fast food restaurant, I can understand with such kind of service especially the food is cheaper. But, Cafe Bizou is not a "cheap" Chinese BBQ fast food restaurant. This kind of service really ruined the night not to mentioned that I was really sitting in an aisle.

I went here as part of the DineLA week and had a nice dinner with my boyfriend. The cost was $25 for dinner. I had the lobster bisque soup and the Steak/Scallop/Jumbo Shrimp dish. My boyfriend had the french onion soup and the macadamia crusted salmon.
The soups were really good, but my entree dish was lacking. It had 1 scallop, 2 shrimp, and a few thin slices of steak. Pretty measly. The salmon was pretty tasty and was a normal sized portion but the side of veggies was 4 or 5 snow peas. It was like it was the leftovers at the bottom of the veggie plate.
Flavors were good, and the service was fine, but not amazing or super friendly. Parking is kind of a pain, since it's in downtown Pasadena, so expect to pay $$ for parking.
