Valley Community School is licensed by the Rhode Island Department of Education as a 180-day alternative education program for students with behavioral needs. The school offers academic instructions based on the individualized needs of student s, as well as focuses on remediation, academic enhancement and growth. Valley Community School also offers structured vocational and therapeutic programs and educational and psychological assessment services. The school s staff includes a psychiatrist, vocational coordinator, teachers, physical education and health instructors, and reading and behavior specialists.
