As many of our faithful followers know we are bursting at the seams. For quite a while it has been a dream of ours that space would be available for us to expand. We are fortunate that a building across the street from our store has become available. To better serve our donors, customers and clients we are in the process of moving our Donation and Processing Center to this new location. We hope to have the move completed by October 1st. Our retail store will remain where it is and be expanded by 2500 square feet to allow for more merchandise to be displayed and available to you. Our Donation and Processing Center will move to 1125 Derby Street. Donations of all items EXCEPT furniture will be accepted at this new location. Furniture donations will continue to be dropped off at the retail site overhead door on Peoria Street. We are very excited about this change as it will allow us to also expand our current assistance programs which benefit those in Central Illinois that need some help. We will keep you updated on our progress. Programs: HOPE Cupboard and Paws of HOPE: Every Tuesday & Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. offering supplemental food and pet food for families in need. We also offer holiday meals when possible. Volunteer Opportunities: TANF, Community Service, HOPE Rewards, Learn 2 Earn, Team HOPE, Reemployability, and National-Able. Blessings of HOPE: All of our 1 time annual events including the Back2School Back-Packs, Annual Thanksgiving Dinner in a Bag, Christmas Gift Giveaway, Amtryke Project, etc. Seeds of HOPE: A program geared to help individuals who have had a crisis in their lives, leaving them in need of basic household necessities. We partner with over 70 area agencies. Back 2 School Backpack Program: We want the youth of our community and surrounding areas to get back to school with everything they need to have a successful year. We offer free book bags packed with basic supplies to help alleviate the financial burden to parents but allow the children to have what they need. Christmas Gift Giveaway: Offering Christmas gifts to low-income families so they have gifts under the tree on Christmas morning. Homeless Support: We try our best to offer items to our homeless clients to help them in anyway possible. We offer tents, sleeping bags, cooking equipment, food (MRE’s), clothes, and resources to connect them to partners who can help find housing. Home of the 99¢ Clothing Free Furniture Pick-up: Call 309-620-9043 press 2 to schedule your pick up with Jamie, Our Logistics Coordinator. We also offer Delivery service at a minimal fee for furniture purchases.
