Wrongful Death
Under New Jersey law, a wrongful death claim can be brought anytime that another’s “wrongful act, neglect or default” causes someone’s death. More simply stated, a family bringing a wrongful death claim must prove that another party negligently caused the death of their loved one. Thus, New Jersey wrongful death claims are commonly filed after any of the following types of accidents...
Traffic Violations
The causes of motor vehicle versus bicycle accidents are similar to those of any motor vehicle related crash (e.g., opening a car door without looking, speeding, bad weather, distracted driving, intoxication, etc.). Injuries in motor vehicle versus bike crashes can be significantly worse than accidents without a motor vehicle because of the combined speeds involved and the moving mass of the motor vehicle.

Workers Compensation
New Jersey and Pennsylvania have a workers compensation system in place which is designed to provide benefits/compensation to employees who are injured on the job. However, to utilize the system if you are injured at work, certain procedures need to be followed and the failure to do so could negatively impact your ability to receive the medical care and compensation you may need.
Wrongful Termination
Setting aside personal injury cases, there are other grounds for suing an employer, including cases of harassment or discrimination based on race, creed, color, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, sex, atypical heredity, cellular or blood trait, military service, physical handicap and sexual orientation. In addition, although they do not enjoy the same protections from job dismissal as contract or union employees, an at-will employee may have grounds for pursuing a wrongful termination lawsuit if his or her employer terminated employment for an unlawful reason.
