Our office uses digital X-rays to help us diagnose dental disease. Digital radiography offers several advantages over traditional film X-rays. Two of the most important advantages are the extremely low radiation exposure experienced with digital dental X-rays and the ability for patients to immediately view the X-rays on a chairside monitor.
Oral Cancer Screening
Our team will start by visually inspecting your gums, teeth, any restorations/previous work, bite, and soft oral tissues. This should also include an oral cancer screening. We’ll also take X-rays of your mouth so that we can look at the condition of your jawbone and roots. If we find problems that need to be addressed, your dentist can begin to develop a personalized treatment plan to help you regain good oral health. During your visit, you can feel free to ask any questions you have and voice any concerns, that way we can determine the best way to provide the treatment you deserve.

Teeth Cleaning
I’ll examine your teeth, gums, existing dental work, and bite alignment. After the exam, we will talk about the results and what comes next. Your dental cleaning will follow.
Dental Sealants
Presently, we use air abrasion to treat new, small cavities, to clean teeth prior to preventive sealants, and occasionally to remove old white fillings. At this time, air abrasion cannot be used to remove existing silver fillings. But with the research being performed using different particles, this may be a function for air abrasion in the future.
