Van Pelt Library houses a variety of books, journals, manuscripts, music scores, sound recordings, and DVDs and videos. It also provides journal articles and databases in the fields of biology, chemistry, nursing, management, marketing, linguistics, mathematics and Asian-American studies. In addition, the library features study materials in the areas of music finance, folklore, materials research, general business, health and societies, and French and German studies. Van Pelt Library offers other electronic resources, footnotes and bibliographies. It provides interlibrary loan programs and research and instructional services. The library maintains a computer laboratory with laptops and related software. Van Pelt Library is a part of the University of Pennsylvania Libraries.
