        The Salvation Army is a religious organization that preaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ to help disadvantaged, homeless, hungry and destitute individuals. As an evangelical ministry of Universal Christian Church, it works to meet the needs of human beings. The ministry maintains more than 9,000 local units and centers throughout Arizona, New Mexico, California, Georgia, Illinois, Texas, and Nevada, as well as serves more than 3 million families and individuals annually. It follows the guidelines for social services in the scriptures of Old Testaments and New Testaments. The Salvation Army also offers medical assistance, counseling and relapse prevention services for individuals who suffer with substance abuse and drug addiction. Additionally, the ministry organizes several fundraising drives for packaged water and food items.

        Overall

        If you are a homeless family beware. This program is supposed to help you And also get permanent housing. Well on my last day there I got approved for housing and would have needed up to a 2 week extension at the shelter and this great place that all the people donate to said they would not grant my family an extension and we lost the housing! NOW LIVING IN A MOTEL!! THANKS MARY ALICE AND ANGEL AND ALL THE STAFF ME AND MY FAMILY ARE HOMELESS AGAIN. HOPE YOU ALL SLEEP WELL AT NIGHT KNOWING WHAT YOU ARE DOING TO FAMILIES THAT YOUR JOB IS TO HELP AND END HOMELESSNESS. TO ALL THE PEOPLE THAT DONATE TO THIS PLACE PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY OR DONATE TO A BETTER CHARITY
