Manchester Craftsmen's Guild is a learning center that offers assistance to preserve, present and promote jazz and visual arts. The center provides after-school arts programs for high school students to enhance creative self-expression and critical thinking skills. It provides individualized mentoring and portfolio development solutions. Manchester Craftsmen's Guild s courses include functional pottery, music production and film photography. The center offers the Artists-In-Schools, which is a program that utilizes arts work to supplement various academic subjects. In addition, the center hosts workshops to assist with the development of resume preparation and writing skills. Its design arts course helps to create organic slides, digital postcards, fabric portraits and monoprints. Manchester Craftsmen's Guild provides instruction to design artistic sculptural pieces and functional containers, such as pots and bowls. The center is a subsidiary of Manchester Bidwell Corporation. It has partnerships with the Pittsburgh Schools.
