Behavioral Counseling
Behavioral Counseling: We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression. We are able to offer referrals to behavioral specialists or trainers for particularly difficult or frustrating behavioral problems.
Comprehensive Examination
Today's modern anesthetic monitors have made surgery much safer than in the past. Here at South Street Veterinary Services, we do a thorough physical exam on your pet before administering anesthetics, to ensure that a fever or other illness won't be a problem. We also adjust the amount and type of anesthetic used depending on the health of your pet.

Parasites Treatment and Control
Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets.
Pain Management
Anything that causes pain in people can be expected to cause pain in animals. Pets may not show the same symptoms of pain as people do; they usually don't whine or cry, but you can be sure they feel it. Pain medications needed will depend on the surgery performed. Major procedures require more pain relief than things like minor lacerations.

Veterinary Surgery
MA is a full service companion animal hospital. It is our commitment to provide quality veterinary care throughout the life of your pet. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets; early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages; and complete medical, dental and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime.

Laboratory Services
Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
X-Ray
Dental Radiology
We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with referral practices when special diagnostic procedures are required. The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-hospital diagnostic laboratory, in-house radiology, and a closely supervised hospitalization area. In addition, we have a full service dental suite that provides for dental prophylaxis, extractions, oral surgery and dental radiography.
