Dental Examination
Sometimes an abcess or trauma to a tooth may cause the nerve to be damaged to the point it needs root canal therapy. It must be treated, and cannot heal on its own. The only other treatment would be to extract the tooth. Symptoms may include sensitivity to hot or cold, throbbing, swelling, pain when biting, or a bad taste in the mouth. However, the patient may not be aware of the problem until a dental exam is performed.
X-rays
X-rays are a necessary part of the diagnostic process, and not to use them could lead to undiagnosed disease. Dental x-rays are safe, and we only take them when necessary.

Teeth Cleaning
Most insurance plans recognize the benefit of Preventative Care and cover Exams and Cleanings twice a year. Commonly, it requires little or no out-of-pocket expense to the patient.

Root Canal Treatment
Crowns are used to cover a tooth that is cracked, or is too broken down to be restored with a filling. The larger the hole made by a cavity that has to be treated, the more likely a crown will be needed. They strengthen and protect the tooth against further breakage. Crowns are most commonly placed over broken teeth or root canal treated teeth. Crowns can be made to match the natural color of your teeth, giving you a better smile.

Deep Cleaning
If you think you are having a problem, come in and see us so we can take care of it right away. The treatment usually involves a deep cleaning (or root planing), and sometimes treatment with an antibiotic. If the gum disease gets too severe it may need to be treated through surgery or extraction. This is why it is important to get it treated at the first sign of a problem.

Dentures
Dentures or partial dentures, replace teeth that have been lost. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is great enough to loosen them or let them fall out, dentures may be an option. No one enjoys losing their natural teeth, but you can still eat and talk regularly. Dentures commonly replace multiple missing teeth, and are removable.
