Mount Pleasant Cottage School UFSD is a school district located in Pleasantville, N.Y. Founded in 1971, the district serves the educational needs of more than 350 students with social and emotional disabilities. It offers various campus programs for students. Its Pleasantville Cottage School is a coeducational facility for more than 200 students who are socially and emotionally challenged. The Edenwald Center of the district serves more than 100 boys and girls who have developmental and emotional challenges. It has a diagnostic center, which is a day residential facility for boys up to 14 years. In addition, the school district admits day students and develops individualized educational programs for them. Its programs focus on diagnosis and remediation, speech and language services, computer-aided instruction, vocational skill development and enhancement of individual responsibility.
