Home Finance Of America

Home Finance of America is a great lender. I have refinanced many home many times either to lower my interest rate or to get some cash for various reasons. I always check with my bank but their rates are usually about 1/2% higher than the mortgage banks or brokers so I usually end up doing business with them. National lenders are usually the best since the more volume they do the lower the rate they can get you. The last refinance was with Home Finance of America. I called then after seeing them listed on Zillow. They had a 5 star rating. A REAL PERSON actually answered the phone instead of those annoying answering machines at other places so I was immediately impressed!



I talked to a women that immediately gave me all her license information so I knew she had some "skin in the game." Within minutes she sent me over an estimate of all my costs and fees. They were 1/2 % lower than the mortgage company that advertises on the TV (Quickenloans) so I appiled over the phone with HFA. It was painless and took about 15 minutes. While on the phone she gave me my credit score which I was happy to hear got their best rate. I sent over my W2 and bank statements and I was approved the next morning..very fast! I was worried about the value of my home but when they sent the appraiser out he got a value higher than expected so I was able to get some extra cash to pay for some unexpected expenses.



I was able to close in two weeks...shortest amount of time ever. Home Finance of America is really quick. Money was wired to Transtar Title and I got my old mortgage paid off and a check for the extra money right away. Anyway, I really like Home Finance of America and I hope to buy a new vacation home soon so I will definitely call them for that.

Best Service Lender! I called 4 mortgage companies before I started my loan with Home Finance of America. All had higher interest rates including my bank that I keep my money. I applied over the phone with Ed Morse. He was great. He talked to me every day throughout the sales time and up to closing. It took about 20 minutes to apply and they had my mortgage approved in about 10 days. Closing was really easy. Actually the whole process was great. I really like Home Finance of America and I recommend Ed and the company.

We recently found a house to buy and chose this organization because they had the best rate available. On a Sunday afternoon we received a phone call changing the terms of the loan by increasing the interest rate by a full 2.5% points. They lied behind a story about Fannie Mae changing their terms, although no other agency across the country has supported this contention. I should know, I spoke with 6 other lenders the following day, from a variety of states, that I found on lendingtree.com.



ABSOLUTELY DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE - I AM FILING A FORMAL COMPLAINT WITH THE STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA!
