Ray Qualmann Marine Construction

I have nothing but good things to say about Qualman Marine Construction and Southeast Boat Lifts and Marine Construction who together put a new seawall, concrete dock, and boatlift at my house. The seawall and dock were raised to the highest level allowed by the city, so my backyard now feels like to was expanded by about the size of my dock and seawall.
When I signed the contract for the work, they said it would take 6 to 8 weeks to complete the job once the permit was approved. The permit took a little longer than I had hoped, but once they started the job was completed in 7 weeks. Except for a large barge in the canal behind the house for a few days and a bunch of concrete trucks in the front yard for a few hours there was no inconvenience at all.
If I asked for something extra there was argument, just a discussion to make sure it was the right thing and then it was completed with no uncomfortable and frustrating change orders or delays. I felt like every suggestion or question I had was handled timely and professionally.
I have four neighbors that have used other contractors that started before me, and they are still working on those jobs long after my job was completed and I am enjoying my backyard, new dock, and boat lift. My neighbors were all shocked when I told them everything was complete and my boat was already on the lift in the backyard.

Don’t use anyone else if you want a pain free experience replacing your seawall, dock, and boatlift.

I contracted with Qualmann 2 years ago to wrap my dock piles. Last month one of the piles rotted away below the wrapping and Qualmann is unwilling to take any responsibility for not wrapping the pile down far enough. They are the experts and should have known to wrap the pile far enough down to protect it from the environment. I'm disappointed that Qualmann is unwilling to stand behind their work I recommend not using them for any dock work or installations.

They do nice work ,just not if your on either side of there work .. repairs to my property were poor to say least ..and haven't come back to repair after many calls ..
