Dr. John D. Triggs attended the University of Iowa for undergraduate studies in Biology and Business. He remained at the University of Iowa for dental school where he earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.). Following graduation, he went on to complete a 4-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago. During his residency, he received specialized training in anesthesia, medicine, and the full-scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Triggs enjoys all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery with a particular interest in dental implants and bone grafting. Dr. Triggs is Board-Certified and a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Wisconsin Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American, Wisconsin, Greater Milwaukee and Washington-Ozaukee Dental Associations. Dr. Triggs is continually participating in continuing education programs to provide the most up-to-date and quality care for his patients. He belongs to multiple study clubs, including the Milwaukee Dental Forum, with area dentists to discuss complex treatment cases. He is also the Director of the Third Coast Study Group - a chapter of the Seattle Study Club - with 30 area dentists and specialty members. Dr. Triggs is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Marquette University School of Dentistry. He lectures to the third-year dental students in their Advanced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery course. Dr. Triggs is on staff at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital, Columbia St. Mary's Ozaukee and Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Dr. Triggs is an Iowa native but enjoys calling Wisconsin home. He and his wife, Maria, like to travel, cook and spend time by the Lakefront. He is an avid sports fan and regularly attends Brewers, Bucks and Packer games.
