Stowaway Mini Storage

We used this facility for over a year. On a Saturday afternoon after my husband emptied our unit, he removed the lock. I called the following Wednesday to let them know that we wouldn't be using the unit anymore only to find out they had already reissued it and they refused to refund the remaining weeks of the rental fee. I feel this is a very shady business practice. We had paid for a full month of rental and only used it for a week when they rented it to someone else!!?! What if we were planning on using it again?

My things were soaked from a roof leak, the attendant watched as I took pictures and wiped off my water soaked ruined furniture, ruined boxes of photos and keepsakes from my children when small - compensated with one months rent. I moved out of state, sent my family in after writing a letter to give them access to take the moldy contents to the dump, was told the police would be called. Heartbreaking experience.
