Sweethaven Christian Academy, established in 1971 and located in Portsmouth, Va., offers classes from grades kindergarten through 12. The school s curriculum includes English, Spanish, language arts, Bible studies, mathematics, social studies, science, art, drama, music, computer technology and physical education. It also offers courses, such as algebra, geometry, calculus, physics, chemistry, biology and literature for students from grades six-to-12. It offers various sports activities, including volleyball, baseball, softball, cross-country, basketball, tennis, cheerleading and soccer. The school organizes various events, such as field trips, fund-raisers and book fairs. It also offers computer laboratories and library facilities. The academy also provides a preschool program for children up to 4 years.
