        October 24, 2012 Dear Glenn, I am most happy to provide you with this written reference. We are extremely pleased with the quality of the exterior paint work that you did for us. It was a significant project. In hindsight we felt extremely fortunate that we chose you rather than either of the other two painting contractors I called for references. Another reason you ended up being such a good choice for us is that you were able to do additional work that someone who was only skilled as a painter could not have done. You took out a window for us, refinished the exterior and interior once it was removed, provided electrical outlets and hung a lighting fixture all while the exterior was being painted. Just having moved into the house, your ability to provide contracting services in addition to painting was a bonus. All of the work was well done and much appreciated. Finally, we appreciated that you have a designer's sense for color and your prices were extremely competitive.         Overall

        I was overcharged by $7,000. Prosser's original estimate was "a couple of thousand". The first bill was $4,375 but I wasn't alarmed because the scope of work had increased. But the second bill for over $12,000 was a shock; I was expecting about another $4,375. I brought in a contractor and a painter to evaluate the work. They both said the work was worth about $10,000 which is what I offered. Glen was impossible to deal with. He placed a lien on my house. Be very careful with Prosser.
