        North Harford Middle School, also known as NHMS, serves more than 1,100 students annually in grades six through eight and employs over 85 people. Its curriculum includes language arts, math, science, social studies, physical education and technology applications. In addition, North Harford Middle School provides speech and language therapy and guidance counseling services. The school offers various extracurricular activities, such as drama, art, music, band, chorus and orchestra. North Harford Middle School supports the Reading Counts! program to encourage students to improve academic confidence and reading skills. The school has a parent-teacher-student association that participates in the development, implementation and funding of various events. It is a part of Harford County Public Schools.
