        If you like steak you will love Cattlemen's. Everything is done big. The prime rib is fantastic and the salad crisp and fresh.

        My experience was less than st...

        My experience was less than stellar on the day my family celebrated my sisters' and my birthdays on one recent Sunday.

        The trim prime rib I ordered was an end cut which I ordered at my sister's recommendation as it has more flavor. To my disappointment, it was more gristly or sinewy with very TINY AMOUNTS of meat. The baked beans were less than tasty. The baked potato skins were a bit on the dry side, as well.

        The bread looked delicious, yet was cold without any pleasant yeasty aroma, but nice and soft on the inside. The mashed potatoes I ordered tasted as though they had been left out for awhile with little moisture content.

        I enjoy the cooler temps, therefore I welcomed the cool air blowing from the nearby vent directly over our table, yet a bit chilly for my fellow guests...And not helping to keep the food warm. Even the water tasted funny with the less than fresh lemon wedges we'd requested.

        The atmosphere was nice through-out the meal, especially being sung Happy Birthday and given cowgirl hats by the wait staff. Nice!

        My niece enjoyed her salmon dinner, as did my sister her prime rib. One of our group had salad only, which was good, although I've tasted MUCH better blue cheese dressing for mine. My little niece enjoyed her chicken nuggets and french fries. My mom and her husband seemed to enjoy their dinners, as well, although I don't know what they ordered.



        There may come a time should I be invited to go that I would return to Cattlemen's Steakhouse for another hopefully improved experience, but it seems unlikely I'll make the effort very soon.
