Shongum Elementary School is a part of Randolph Township Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. Shongum Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade five. Its staff includes classroom and resource teachers, teaching aides, Title I instructors, specialists, psychologists, social workers, and cafeteria and custodial personnel. The school offers a range of general academic and extracurricular courses. It also offers a variety of programs in art, vocal and instrumental music, band, strings and physical education. Shongum Elementary School provides medical care, occupational and physical therapy, speech pathology, and guidance and counseling services. In addition, the school provides the English as a second language program and conducts foreign language sessions in Spanish. Located in Randolph, N.J., the school has a parent-teacher association that supports and sponsors several school events and activities.
