Katie graduated from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, New Orleans with a Masters in Occupational Therapy in 2011. While a graduate student, she received clinical experience in the inpatient, outpatient, and pediatric settings. She has a love for children and has focused her career in pediatrics.

Autism
Idalia graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from Texas State University and Master of Science from Texas State University. She is a bilingual speech language pathologist, with experience evaluating and treating children from early childhood to adolescence. Idalia has experience working with children with a variety of diagnoses, including but not limited to, autism spectrum disorder, expressive and receptive language disorders, feeding disorders, orofacial myofunctional disorders and speech sound disorders. Her areas of interest include early language intervention, tongue ties, and augmentative and alternative communication. Idalia is trained in Tobii Dynavox, feeding therapy, and orofacial myofunctional therapy. Additionally, Idalia is a certified provider for Hanen: More Than Words. She is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence

Deyanira, known to most by “Dee” was born in Richmond, Texas. Deyanira has worked in the medical field for over 15 years with experience in Gastroenterologist, Cardiologist and Orthopedics. She has joined our team with excitement in achieving goals to make Faith Pediatric Rehabilitation grown in all aspects. She’s a mother of 3 beautiful daughters and 1 granddaughter. On her spare time she enjoys spending it with family, friends and cheering on her football team the New Orleans Saints!!!

Physical Therapists

Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy Services are provided by our next door neighbor PT Care of Fort Bend, Please call them at 281-344-8900 for more information. Physical Therapists use physical means to enhance posture, balance and movement. They incorporate muscle strengthening and training to correct abnormal patterns of movement. Pediatric Therapists use what are called "directed activities" to enhance postural alignment, equilibrium, righting reactions, endurance and independent mobility.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapists understand that school, play and self-care are the "occupations" of childhood. We're dedicated to helping children participate to their fullest potential. Children with shortened attention span, learning disabilities, and/or sensory processing issues are also serviced by Occupational Therapy.
Aquatic Therapy
Katie is trained in Brain Gym 101, aquatic therapy, and NDT facilitation techniques, sensory integration, Interactive Metronome, Therapeutic Listening, SOS Approach to Feeding, and Kinesiotaping.
