My son put a deposit and signed a rental agreement for 1118 Grove Ave. Yes, it is lovely, clean, but - somewhat outdated. I've anticipated to have a hard time getting out of the signed lease, but was VERY pleasantly surprised! Reading about turnover of the staff in reviews on the other sites, I hope that, for the sake of current residents, one staff member will stay there for a long time - property manager Ben Shepherd. I encountered a lot of property managers in my life, most of them keep in mind the interests of landlords only, not giving a second thought to renter's rights, requests, or needs. Not Ben! I can't stress enough how wonderfully courteous, considerate, polite, humble, and very respectful this person is! If I would have to rate this property based on my interaction with ben only, there will be not enough stars. Thank you, Ben, for your understanding and professionalism - from the bottom of my heart.

Unorganized staff, gross lack of communication and information. If this is what I'm to expect from a realtor attempting to sell me an apartment I can't imagine the hell I'd go through being incarcerated in a lease with them. The leasing agent I tried to schedule appointments with stood me up twice only to inform me that the apartment had already been sold... Unprofessional. Craigslist tends to be shady at times, we all know that - and these people are no exemption. Stay very clear of this organization, and use extra caution.

The customer service is horrible. The girl in the office is plain rude, and she hardly cares about your problems. They take forever for any maintenance work (if they ever do it), but when they have to show your apartment to other people, or ask you for a hidden fee, they'll be at your door first thing in the morning. I waited for a year to get my keys changed, but when I mailed my key one day later at the end of my lease, she took part of my deposit even if the key was already in the mail and she had another copy for it.



Overall, their properties are really old, with rat problems, and not even clean. The girl at the office will do anything to take money from you, and it feels like they simply don't care about their customers. You'd be doing yourself a favor if you never call these guys or see their properties.



Trust me, they're not the cheapest in town, and you could have a better service with any other realtor.
