Door Installation/Replacement
Simonton Windows – manufacturers of vinyl windows, Simonton were founded in 1946 and today have a product portfolio of 12 different windows and door lines. Their ProFinish Contractor series was named Best Vinyl Window by Consumer Reports.
Framing
Dave started working in the business with his father as a teenager learning the business from the practical side – learning about remodeling, framing, carpentry and building additions. He started doing roofs as a young man – working fulltime with his dad during the week and installing roofs at the weekend. In 1990 he took the plunge and started Sky Tech Construction with two employees himself and his brother!

Landscaping
We specifically use rubber-tired trailers to remove waste from the job site rather than old, metal dumpsters. We can’t control dumpsters that come from a rental company and don’t want out clients being inconvenienced.

Window Installation/Replacement
Our owner, Dave Johnson handles this part of the business personally. Dave will come to your home and discuss your plans and with your input will determine the best solution for your needs, whether you need full frame replacement windows or if replacing just the sashes will suffice.
Decks
Decks are our own, personal, unique outdoor spaces. They can run from simple to extremely complex, they can be small to huge. Every deck is different and our approach to building your deck takes this into account.
Siding
We recognize that siding isn’t as critical a component in the well-being of a house as your roof is, but picking the right contractor, with the needed experience is still very important especially as siding adds so much to the “curb appeal” of your home.
Residential Roof Repair
Atlas Roofing – Atlas roofing shingles are pretreated with Scothgard™ to prevent the black streaks caused by algae. Atlas offers many options with regards to budget, colors and warranties.
Residential Roof Replacement/Installation
All roof replacement projects are covered by Sky Tech’s 10 year warranty on workmanship – this is in addition to any manufacturer’s warranty against defects.
Residential Roof Inspection
After the roof inspection we’ll tell you whether we think the roof can be repaired or whether it needs replacement. Repairing the roof is normally significantly less expensive than replacing the roof, but due to other factors (age of roof, type of shingles, etc.) replacing the roof might be the best long-term bet.

Carpentry
Fast forwarding 25+ years Dave is still involved in every aspect of the business and still does all of the carpentry-based work (decks, framing, windows, etc.) himself. He leaves the roofing and siding to dedicated, trained crews but is the face of the company handling all the sales calls, proposals and follow ups. He’s also the guy doing the final inspection of every job, making sure that everything is completed correctly and that the job site is clean and ready for handover back to the homeowner.
