101 Cafe

We made a trip to the Avenue of Giants and went looking for food. Found the 101 Cafe, it was not too exciting from the outside, but the Mexican food was very good and the staff very friendly. The restaurant appeared clean. They also have quite an extensive menu. My suggestion to them for more business is to wax their floors real shiny and to keep their windows sparkling clean. Having been in the business it is a plus for customers.

I went up to Rio Dell surprised to see the 101 Cafe open again I went inside and there was a nice gentleman who greeted me and sat me down and handed me a menu. Last time I went there they served hamburgers and sandwiches etc. But it was always to greasy. There are new owners now and they changed the menu to a Mexican style and I tried 2 soft and 2 crispy tacos and they were delicious, I had a conversation with the waiter and he introduced himself as Carlos, he was the son of the owners and his mother was the chef. I asked him why didn't they changed the name 101 Cafe is not much of a Mexican name, and he replied, "well that names been there for many years and it would be wrong to change it, it's removing history." I really liked that answer, the food was so delicious that I ordered a burrito 5 minutes later out comes a big burrito, a delicious burrito the Fajita burrito was amazing i just wanted to keep on ordering and take them home. Well to wrap up this long review, great and friendly service, amazing food, and just a delightful vibe that I got I stand by my review 100% and will be returning to the 101 Cafe soon, I just hope that they get more reviews and become even more recognized. The 101 Cafe changed, and for the better.
