Potbelly's Barbecue

The bean are amazing and the turkey leg was actually tender.... Best place I've eaten Shen I been in Rio!

Was on my way to Laredo this past Saturday and came across this shack in Rio Grande City. I was hungry and didn't want the usual fast food so I decided to give it a try. The place has a dining area outside however the weather can deter you from getting down.As I drove in this rail thin fellow comes up to my truck , welcomes me to potbelly's and gives me a disposable menu. I immediately got my order(5 Min Tops!). I decided to order brisket, ribs and sausage. First thing I noticed was a distinct smoke ring on the brisket. As I opened my fork and knife pack I realized that I didn't need them. It was so tender and tasty that i didn't need them lol. The ribs are to die for, just the right amount of smoke and sweetness. The cheddar jalapeno sausage was outstanding and full of flavor. People if you are passing by this town in the weekend stop by, you won't be disappointed. I'll be coming back this Saturday!
