I have left several messages in the last month. I am requesting to meet with the CEO and Director about what happened to my now deceased mom. I have a public health report after I filed a complaint and I still have had no replies. This will continue and I will write an article in the Press Enterprise if they do not contact me soon. Dirt will not be swept under the carpet, no stonewalling me. They also erase my comments. Truth hurts VNA of Riverside.....the rating is below zero. thank you for reading

My mom was sent home on Hospice with stage 4 lung Cancer at the age of 58. Her second day home I called an on call nurse to come out because my moms legs where swelling a lot and she wasn't urinating on her own anymore so I called to see if she could come put a catheter in to relieve the pressure from my mom and give her something for the swelling, because after all hospice is all about comfort right. Well nurse came out and explained to me that my moms organs where shutting down that's why I am seeing the changes in her body. Well a few hours later my mom took a bigger turn for the worst she was feeling really really uncomfortable it took a nurse 2 hrs to give me a call back to see what I could give her to help her be more comfortable. Then my mom started feeling worst a few hours later so my brother called and it took 4 hrs for any nurse to call back meanwhile holding my mom in my arms as she is dying feeling extremely full of pain and hard to breath the nurse finally calls then shows up an hour later by this time my mom is already told us all she loved us we told her as well and just holding her made me feel like that was the least I could do is just hold her as my dad is on her other side my brother around her bed and her sister the nurse walks in and says I have to take her vitals And kicks everyone out of the room except me and my aunt I said she's already dying why now just let me hold her she insisted on taking her vitals so I lauded her back in the bed then I noticed something in her mouth I said she throwing up the nurse says we have to change her I said we can't just wait she said no she turned my mom to the side I grab my moms face as it almost hits the rails and blood from moms mouth pours into my hand she turns my mom back over my took one last breath and she was gone. She died suffering with NO DIGNITY. I DONT NOT RECOMMEND VNA HOSPICE AT ALL.
