Hydra-Tech Transmissions

Outstanding service every time. Have had my 2011 F250 there for a Valve body, and also my 2013 Explorer for a PTU replacement. No hesitation, these guys are top flight and trustworthy and do an awesome job at fair and competitive prices.

I went to Hydra-Tech expecting to have to replace a torque converter for 800 or so dollars. Mike and I went for a test ride and in the first mile he stated that my problem wasn't the transmission. He referred me to a shop near my home to replace a front axle/CV shaft. Mike's honesty impressed me and I highly recommend Hydra-Tech.

My name is Lawrence Sauls and I currently reside in Jacksonville North Carolina. In August of 2016 Hydra -Tech repaired my 1997 Mitsubishi/Montero Sport. The reason for the repair was due to the vehicle not shifting into gear. After having the vehicle towed to their shop. Within 48 hours I was contacted by a shop representative who explained what the problem was and the cost to repair. Honestly prior to receiving their call I was braced for an explanation that my vehicle would need a very expensive repair and what I actually received was jaw dropping to say the least. As is well known once a vehicle is taken to a shop and if automobile repair is not your expertise you are at their mercy. Hydra-Tech was very professional also prompt in diagnosing the problem and repairing my vehicle. However the most important attribute was their honesty. I highly recommend Hydra-Tech Transmissions for your transmission repairs.

The past March my transmission went out on my car and Hydra Tech Transmission was recommended to me by a family member. After providing a new installation it took 3 weeks for me two receive my car. I also was told to pay in cash because of tax reasons. After about 2 months my car begin to have this weird jerking problem and it would cut off at the stop light. I was told by another mechanic that it was the torque converter. I was told that both of these parts should have been replaced at the same time. I called Mike the Owner but he said there was something wrong with the transmission but that's a lie. He didn't want to fix my car because I refused to pay any more money. He was attempting to double ticket my car so he can make twice the money. These people are the definition of shady mechanics. Please do not come here. Save yourself the headache. I am a college and it wrong for a company to take advantage of people.

I have been refered by my friend that races dirt track to use Hydra Tech for my transmision work. I have been more than satified with the care. Frank & Mike have been more than specialist to me, they really care about what goes on with all my vehicals.
