General Info: Maria Montessori School offers a range of educational programs for more than 300 students in pre-kindergarten through grade six. Its syllabus includes English, mathematics, science, social studies, language arts and music. The school conducts classes in physical and special education, as well as employs a reading coach and paraprofessionals. It also maintains a library and media center that stocks books and periodicals and provides links to search engines. The school organizes a parent-teacher conference that encourages parental involvement in children's education. Located in Rockford, Ill., Maria Montessori School provides food services and is a part of Rockford Public School District 205, which governs various elementary, middle and high schools. In addition, the district s schools organize a variety of athletic activities that includes football, basketball, volleyball, cross-country, and track and field.
