The roofing crew showed up promptly each day to complete the job. The quality of their workmanship is meticulous and outstanding and they took the time to complete their work carefully and gave attention to detail. They work fast. At the same time they don’t cut corners. Contractor/owner John Adams, who has been roofing since he was a teenager, oversaw the entire project, worked and ran the job himself. I was also impressed that his own teenage son worked alongside him.



John advised us against using the ridge vent aeration systems that have been in vogue for a while. Although ridge vents are popular and trendy, they .are not the best type of venting system for a regular, 20% pitched roof and can end up causing problems down the road. Ridge vents are more appropriate for higher attics, or vaulted ceilings that have minimal or no attic space. Most all of the roofing contractors who considered out roofing project recommended putting in ridge vents and included their installation as an additional line item in the bid. Instead, we went with the recommended eyebrow vents. John also installed the solar attic fans that we had bought some time ago.



Adams roofing executed a first-class job and left the jobsite clean and tidy. We were very satisfied with the entire transaction. Adams’ preliminary bid was very reasonable as were his change orders for essential repairs that became apparent after the tear off. John Adams was also amenable with me doing some of the repair work myself. He continued working other parts of the roof before he reroofed the section where I was working. They will guarantee their workmanship and the roof being rainproof for ten years.



I was adamant that I was going to hire a locally-owned and operated company and the owners are themselves locals and have been established in the area for a long time. The crew is very polite and courteous. The entire process was smooth and a pleasure. I would highly recommended Adams Roofing.
