Oral cancer takes around 10,000 lives every year. You are more likely to have a positive five-year prognosis if the cancer is diagnosed before it has had a chance to spread. Fluoride Treatment
While fluoride treatment is commonly recommended for children, it is also a desirable option for adults who may be high-risk for cavities. This natural mineral not only combats tooth decay but also strengthens enamel, which cannot grow back once it is gone.
Dental Sealants
The molars near the back of the mouth are susceptible to cavities since they’re hard to reach with a toothbrush and contain many pits where food particles can get caught. To help better protect your child’s teeth, we can place a layer of clear plastic known as a sealant over the chewing surfaces. Well-made sealants can give up to 10 years of protection and dramatically lower your little one’s risk for cavities.

Fillings
Resin Composite
After removing the bacteria that’s causing tooth decay, we can repair any cavities that have formed with a tooth-colored filling. While traditional fillings are made out of metal amalgam, tooth-colored fillings consist of a more flexible, natural-looking composite resin that can be shaded to match the color of any tooth. These restorations are both more attractive and more conservative than traditional metal ones.
Veneers
The idea of fixing several flaws may seem daunting at first, but with the help of veneers, you can achieve your goals in as little as two appointments. Veneers are thin, tooth-colored restorations that fit over the front of each tooth like a mask. They allow us to change the shape, size, and color of your teeth for a fully transformed smile.
Crowns
A dental crown covers the entire tooth, protecting it from damage and strengthening it so that you can bite and chew safely and comfortably. We may recommend a crown for any damage that’s too extensive for a filling. While we still offer reliable gold crowns, we also have many natural-looking materials to choose from, including zirconia, porcelain, and porcelain-fused-to-metal. Bridges
A dental bridge is a non-removable tooth replacement used to fill in a single gap. It can replace one tooth or multiple teeth in a row. We can create a bridge by combining two dental crowns with one or more prosthetic teeth. The crowns will be attached to the natural teeth around the gap, while the remainder fill in the space. They are designed to be lifelike so no one can tell the difference.

Root Canal Treatment
How we treat tooth sensitivity: Our team will need to identify the underlying problem before we recommend a treatment method. Depending on your situation, we may suggest using desensitizing toothpaste, prescription mouthwash, topical fluoride therapy, gum disease treatment, or root canal therapy.

Deep Cleaning
Scaling and root planing are more effective when used in conjunction with antibiotics. While we can remove much of the plaque and tartar that’s causing inflammation in your gums, there will still be bacteria in places we can’t reach with a deep cleaning. With antibiotic therapy, you can continue to fight the infection at home. The kind of antibiotics we prescribe will depend on the severity of your gum disease.

Dentures
Most people who lose all their teeth use dentures to continue speaking clearly and eating comfortably. Unlike bridges, dentures are removable, so you can take them out to clean them. There are two kinds of dentures that you can get depending on your dental needs: full dentures that replace every tooth in the upper or lower arch and partial dentures that are made to fit neatly into the gaps in your grin.

Dental Implants
Dr. Lin-Hsin Chuang is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a board-certified periodontist. She specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease, as well as esthetic soft tissue grafting, bone regeneration, and dental implants. Her mission is to restore oral health and help patients regain their natural smiles and oral function. Dr. Chuang completed her specialization in Periodontology and Implantology at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, earning a Master’s degree in Dental Science. As a current full-time faculty member and professor at Tufts, she is deeply involved in teaching, dental research, and mentoring both pre-doctoral students and postgraduate residents in patient care. In 2024, Dr. Chuang was honored with The American Academy of Periodontology Educator Award, recognizing her excellence in teaching and mentoring in Periodontics. Dr. Chuang is passionate about patient-centered care, emphasizing that prevention is key. She works closely with her patients to help them preserve their teeth by imparting essential knowledge and providing tools for long-term oral health. By taking the time to understand each patient’s unique needs, she develops personalized treatment plans that address their specific oral health goals.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Oral Surgery
While it might seem as if digital X-rays are enough to see the entire oral cavity, we often need to perform a broader examination of the facial structure. With a CT/Cone Beam Scanner, we can capture a 360-degree scan that takes hundreds of photos of a patient’s teeth, gums, bones, nerves, tissues, and other facial components. It is helpful when planning a patient’s dental implant treatment or a more extensive oral surgery.
Tooth Extractions
How We Treat Toothaches How we intervene will depend entirely on the root of the problem. If the source is a small cavity, then we can remove the damaged tissue and restore it with a filling. In cases of more severe damage, a dental crown, root canal therapy, or tooth extraction may be necessary.

Orthodontics
Most policies do not offer coverage for cosmetic dentistry, and you’ll need to determine if your plan offers assistance for orthodontics.
Invisalign Orthodontics
We begin by taking impressions of your smile and creating multiple aligners. You’ll wear each aligner for two weeks at a time, and the pressure they exert will slowly move your teeth in the right direction. You will wear your aligners 20-22 hours each day, only taking them out to eat or clean them. On average, Invisalign will help you achieve a straighter smile within 12-18 months.
Braces
