Audubon Market

I am so surprised to see any negative reviews of Audubon Market. First of all, let me say that we are in no way associated with the store or anyone who owns or works there. Our experience has been nothing but positive. They have a great selection, fresh produce, a lunch/dinner counter, and more. This store is a great addition to St. Francisville, as it would be to any community. We have found the customer service to be exceptional, from a gentlemen in the meat department offering cooking tips to the customer service people willingly/cheerfully taking back an opened product. Our family LOVES Audubon Market!

Charged for an item we did not select by anemployee at checkout. We realized this when we got home, but had no phone service to address the matter because of the flood. When we went out next, we stopped at the store and explained what happened and asked they provide us the item in lieu of a refund to make things easier. They had no item to give us, but asked us to come back later in the week. Today, they refused to credit/give us the item and accused us of lying. They said we got the item per their video and put it in our truck--we were in a convertible!!! How many people are being overcharged by this store and not checking their receipt? You have lost our business forever, and you will continue to lose more business as we spread the word. In fact, at least one person who witnessed this event taking place today in your store also walked out and left their items. We here in Saint Francisville are a monied community and can easily spend our dollars in much nicer stores in BR.

The Audubon Market is a breath of fresh air for our small town and draws customers from the region. They have a great selection at good prices. The deli is full service with a full time chef and great food atypical of most delis in larger cities. The people working there are quite helpful. They have the best wine selection this side of Baton Rouge. I don't know what Steve W.'s problem with the turkey legs is, but his review seems inauthentic based on my continuous experience with the store since it opened. I have never had a bad experience there.

Meat department is a joke. I have called 6 times to find out if they have smoked turkey drumsticks. "Oh yes", they said. No turkey drumsticks. 6 times. So I go down in person to talk to the meat department and they could not tell when the make them. The management is just as clueless. So, they promised that they had them and they would cook and set back 2 of them for me the next day. Next day: Meat department says they did not get them in until about 10:00 am so had to let them thaw all day. Are you kidding me? 7 times and no drumstick? LeBlancs is cheaper and does not have as many idiots there. The posted address is even wrong. Duh!
