I had a great experience here. I went there looking for a particular car and they had it. They helped me out with financing and treated me like royalty through the entire process. Nothing but good things to say about the entire process, staff and I am loving the retro vehicle I purchased.

If you go to a motel that has a one-two star rating, you might leave the hotel with bedbugs. If you do business with them, you will positively leave with bedbugs! My response is the same as everyone else's. I wish I had looked at these before. You will be sorry if you buy from these people. Look elsewhere!

So how do I write this in the most objective voice? I guess I am somewhat to blame...I could have gotten on a plane instead of trusting them.

I saw a car on EBay that I wanted, a 1976 Triumph TR 5.0. I called St. Louis Car Museum and inquired about the car. Being a first time, novice car collector, I thought I asked plenty of good questions.

The car looked great on the website and I loved the details, photos and video.

I asked about the condition, being I live in NY and there was no way to fly out and do an onsite inspection, or is there?

Having asked all the important questions to my salesman, and I will leave his name out, as I'm guessing it would not have mattered who I was speaking with...my final question was, is everything in working order, and is there anything I should know that I may not have asked. "No, you know everything"

Well, long story short, I love the car, its gorgeous, BUT I WAS SOLD A CAR THAT HAS SO MANY PROBLEMS. Im almost done fixing them all...7 weeks and 10K later.

Truth is, I would have bought the car anyway, but honest and reasonable expectations regarding issues and repairs make for a more enjoyable purchase

I MUST SUGGEST THAT YOU NOT BUY A CAR HERE WITHOUT HAVING A THOROUGH INSPECTION.

while I don't expect them to have known that I needed to repair a defunct cylinder, replace the poorly installed head gaskets, replace the master cylinder, repair all 4 brakes. Repair a broken stud on the rear tire hub. Replace and repack the rear axels and hubs. Repair the A/C that does not work. ....and much much more...they did know the A/C was not hooked up at all, there were no dashboard lights, the drivers side mirror was loose, the drivers door gasket was hanging, the drivers door, the trunk and the hood that all were out of line or not operable The radiator was leaking due to a faulty hose installation, and so much more.

So, to repeat...love the car...hate the misleading and unfair treatment.

BTW...I emailed my salesman soon after getting the car...and he never responded...that's weak. I agreed to buy the car as is, I realize I have no recourse, so why not respond.

We would be very happy to discuss any car to the best of our ability. We represent certain cars they may be part of our collection for only a short period of time. Being perfectly familiar with all aspects of each individual car and its life story is always a challenge. Because of this very fact, ALL perspective buyers are completely encouraged to view our cars in person. Or, you can hire and send a professional to inspect any car on their behalf. We have a full service facility and lifts available. We are completely ready to assist in any way we can. This review seems to have come from someone who never took the time to work with us directly!

Car Still Does Not Run After 6 Months!

I bought a vintage classic import car from the St. Louis Car Museum & Auto sales in the fall of 2008. The car stalled being driven off the transport truck, and after over 6 months of repair attempts at a garage (specializing in import cars) it is still not running! The car failed to match the description and the people at St. Louis Car Museum were not helpful at all. They made the sale and to them that was the end of their responsibility! I will be posting my own website and photos of the problems with the soon to explain in more detail. I paid well over the market value of the car, believing and trusting them. The first thing you should notice are the strategic photos of the cars they are selling! Also the name of their company, St. Louis Car Museum & Sales, certainly gives the impression that you will be purchasing a product above and beyond what others could offer. Depending on how much you like your money...stay away, be very aware!

We are sorry to hear of your misfortune with your 1970 MGB spilt-bumper roadster you purchased from us. We represented the car to the best of our ability the consigner. Your vehicle was formerly owned, and driven regularly, by the the propriator of All British Car Repair (formerly known as the MG Doc). Prior to him, it was professionally restored by University Motors in 1992. The car ran absolutely fine, and completed a 800-mile tour to the Gulf Coast the year prior, all just before it arrived to you. We were certain the starting issue you encountered was bound to be minor and asked that you take it to a local specialist for a look. You elected to take it to a Rolls Royce/Bentley restoration shop who apparently spent 6 months worth your money and still couldn't make it start! We asked that your "mechanic" call and speak with the former owner directly to discuss the situation and find a confident resolution. When that happened, your mechanic insisted on insulting the former owner's intelligence & suggstions so badly, the call was cut short. At that time, our position to find a resolve was also ended. We felt whatever was going on with your car was only growing worse while in the hands of your service center. We can only apologize for so much, but your car came with a near complete history and full service records dating back to the late 1980's. There is absolutely nothing "stategic" about how we sell our vehicles. We can provide thousands of positive testimonials to support we are an top level provider of classic and antique cars! We find this written review to be harshly one-sided considering the real circumstances!
