The owner of the company is attempting to rip my insurance company and myself off. He refused to begin any work without 100% upfront of the contract for the deck. After tear down and adding cement holes, he ceased all work because he now wants to double the cost of the deck. He stated he will not be completing anymore work unless he receives more money. He has not ordered any supplies, submitted any receipts, shown up to complete any work in over 3 weeks. After talking with my attorney, I do not even have a workmanship warranty on my contract! I was a victim of the tornado and now a victim of West End Co Op Investments. I have contacted my insurance company. Prayerfully, they will seek legal recourse just as I have. Stay far away from this company. Also, lesson learned for myself is to NEVER give a contractor 100% of the bidded cost of a project until they complete 100% of the work!
