HealthPartners Dental Clinic Maplewood

Sorry to say I had a horrible experience at this clinic about 2 years ago and have not been back since. Getting blood drawn for lab tests is absolutely no issue for me. My experience is always just fine, but at this clinic, it was awful. The nurse drawing my blood did not seem to care when I told her there was a narrow, tightening and numbing sensation going down my arm all the way to the area below my thumb while the blood was being drawn. I could not extend my arm out for 8 weeks after that experience due to extremely sharp pain just below my thumb (on the palm side). I called the clinic to report this a few times and they said the manager would call back. The manager never called back.



I went to urgent care at the Woodbury Health Partners a day or two later since I wasn't sure why I was still having sharp pains. I paid another copay for this visit. The doctor said it's possible there might be scar tissue forming and referred me to a nearby physical therapy office to get therapy on the arm, where I paid another copay.



Thankfully the pain is not as bad as it used to be, but my arm has problems now with light but sharp pain coming back to that area below the thumb every now and then. I wish I had been more persistent about speaking to the manager 2 years ago and at least getting those subsequent visits to urgent care and physical therapy paid for. On top of all this, the doctor I saw for a pap smear after the blood draw was cold and didn't exactly give me an opportunity to tell her what had happened. I was hopeful about this place but sad to say I haven't returned.
