Dental Examination
Depending on your child’s cooperation, we will complete a comprehensive examination, clean his/her teeth and when indicated, take x-rays. We will discuss any findings with you. We will also review with you what you need to know to help your child maintain good oral health.
X-rays
Oral Cancer Screening
Nobody wants to hear that they may have oral cancer. Although it can be fatal, it is easier to treat the earlier it is caught. For this reason, we are proud to assist our patients with an oral cancer screening. We want to help our patients survive this often fatal disease.

Teeth Cleaning
If your child is very young, take a wet washcloth and clean the teeth. As your child gets older, get an age appropriately sized toothbrush. At a minimum, the teeth should be cleaned in the morning and just before your child goes to bed. An adult should supervise nighttime tooth brushing for young children. Additional tooth cleanings are very beneficial.
Fluoride Treatment
Your child will benefit from the preventive approach recommended for all children- effective brushing and flossing, moderate snacking, adequate fluoride. It is best to use no more than a pea size amount of toothpaste on the toothbrush. Home care takes just minutes a day and prevents needless dental problems. Regular professional cleanings and fluoride treatments are also very beneficial. Sealants (plastic coatings on permanent teeth) can prevent tooth decay on the chewing surfaces of molars where most of the cavities occur
Dental Sealants
When we apply a dental sealant, we paint a plastic coating on top of your teeth. This makes your teeth smooth getting rid of the rough edges, depressions, and grooves that are commonly found on teeth. It is essentially a protective coating against tooth decay and cavities.

Veneers
Porcelain Veneers are wafer-thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve appearance. These shells are bonded to the front of the teeth changing their color, shape, size, or length. We recommend this treatment to anyone experiencing discoloration that cannot be fixed with whitening or if your teeth are damaged. Porcelain veneers are also an option if you’re unhappy with the shape or look of your natural teeth. request an appointment
Crowns
Getting porcelain crowns is the best way to have a very natural looking smile. They are used when simply filling in a tooth is not an option. There are times when they decay is so bad that we just have to use a porcelain crown. We also use them with severely damaged teeth or teeth that have already had multiple fillings. Porcelain crowns are attached right to your teeth so that they can function, even when you bite something really hard! There are several types of porcelain crowns so it is important to discuss which type is best for you with your dentist. request an appointment
Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is the procedure where we apply a tooth colored plastic material to a patient’s tooth. Using a special light, the material hardens and bonds the material to the tooth.

He completed a two-year general dental practice residency at Womack Army Medical Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Dr. Ginsburg is a Diplomate of both the American Board in General Dentistry and Federal Service Board in General Dentistry. In addition, he holds mastership status in the Academy of General Dentistry.
