Wicomico County of-- Library-- Main Library

This library closed its doors on Tuesday and Thursday with not much or no notice to the public. It was frustrating to many people. Also, the customers include many homeless people who are not interested in books. The library is not an ideal shelter, and prohibits others from wanting to go there.

I think this is one of the best libraries I have ever visited. The selection of books, audio books, records, magazines, children's literature, etc. is extensive and current. The computer area is well used, and there are plenty of machines. I think one of the best qualities of this library is the staff, always helpful and knowledgable. This is one of the best, and we are so lucky to have such a wonderful resource! Pat H. 10/2/2015

I am so disgusted with this place. Not because of its size or the amount of books it contains...that's wonderful. It's the attitudes of the adults here. You would think they are the only ones that have the right to enjoy themselves. One man was just singing coming back from the printer. No librarian said a word. Adults are constantly talking and not in normal voices or I wouldn't hear them over my headphones. The ONLY two reasons I come here...free internet and good books to read. In reality it's not free internet because you have to put up with rude and inconsiderate people constantly. So I give the library 5 stars for size and books but am only posting one because of the workers here doing anything to control the noise volume. Thank Goodness, the teens and youngsters have their own areas or it would be one "heckuva" mess for sure.
