I'm reading a few comments like the one from brett and I'm just wondering were you talking about the oil filter or air filter that they didn't have in stock? Because I've been working at Jiffy Lube for a few years now and if it's the oil filter I doubt it because Subaru only uses one kind of filter and they've been using it since the Legacy in 1989 and coincidentally Honda uses the same filter on all models and has done so since at least the early 90s and it's the same exact oil filter that all Subaru's use. I just find that hard to believe.

Overall

This shop is the best! I love local family run businesses. They truly know what customer service means. Scott has been working on all of our cars for 14 years. The minute we have a car that is no longer under warranty, we always take it to Scott for repairs. His prices are almost always half of what the dealership charges. They also handle all of our general maintenance for all cars. It's nice to be treated with honesty and respect and not have to play the dealership games.

Overall

Me and my family have been going here for years. They are always honest and up front with everything that needs to be done. Avoid the horrible chains like jiffy lube that will always try to find 100 things that need to be fixed and you end up paying $500 for what should have been a $40 oil change.

After Nick drained the oil and then put in the new oil, he told me that he didn't have the filter for my car because it is so new (2013 Subaru Legacy which has been the same since 2010) and then asked how I was paying. I asked how much of a discount I would get since they didn't have a filter to change it he said $1. I said, "are you kidding me" and he said "no, that is all the filters cost so that is all I can take off". I asked if he could order one or go get one and he said no and that I would have to go to Subaru to buy one. I said ok but that I would pay half now and the other half after I get the filter and he got it installed. He said no and if he did that he would charge me more for installing the filter. I said, I don't think so and that I would not pay more than half since only half the work was done. He again said the filters only cost him $1 and that I had to pay all but $1. I told him that I was paying for the labor and not just the cost of the filter and that I would only pay half until the filter was installed. He said again that I had to pay the full amount. I then said Okay, would you like to call the police about this matter or would you like me too. He asked me to hold on for a couple of minutes. After less than 2 minutes he came back and said that the filter from the 2012 model Legacy would work and that Subaru just changed the part number on the 2013 to get more people to have to buy them directly from Subaru. He then put it on which only took about a minute. He did not even say he was sorry for putting me through all of that crap and he even had an attitude with me when I was leaving. When I asked if he ran the place he said that he was one of the managers. I hope to be able to talk to one of the other managers or the owner to find out if what all Nick did was company policy or if he was just being a bully and trying to get me to pay full price for only half of the job being done.

saved me a lot

This is a great place to go I went to the dealership because my engine speed running the dealer pulled the engine apart and then told me it would be 3800 to fix. I talked to Scott and he had it towed down and fixed my explorer for 2300. And it runs great. It has been 6 months runs perfect . On top of that the dealership tried to charge me 1000 to do what they did Scott helped negotiate it to half that.

I had $600 worth of work done ...

I had $600 worth of work done which included new brakes and rotors. Come to find out 3 months later my pads were gone and scraping the rotors. They never did the brakes. also I took in my car for a routine safety and emissions inspection and when I got in my car all electric was gone. They said I brought the car in like that. If that was the case how did they do the safety test? They fried my entire electrical system.

Great Place for Service

I took my Dodge Stratus in for an oil change and an inspection. My car did not pass the emission test, but Scott stayed past closing to do the repair to get my car to pass-I even got my sticker there! It saved me from another trip and the long lines at the DMV.



Scott was v ery reasonable with the pricing. I recommend him to anyone who needs car service and repair!
