Dental Examination
We value your time and would like to be efficient with our new patient exams. Our first appointment can be time-consuming but will yield valuable information for the dentist and hygienist to provide the best dental care possible.

Teeth Cleaning
We are as concerned with your overall health as we are with your oral health. Please bring a list of any medications that you are presently taking. Please alert the office if you require pre-medication (antibiotic prophylaxis) prior to dental cleanings for any pre-existing medical condition or recent joint replacement.
Fluoride Treatment
Your child should visit the dentist every six months for regular dental cleanings and checkups. We recommend fluoride treatments twice a year along with cleanings to keep teeth their strongest. Tooth sealants are also recommended because they "seal" the deep grooves in your child's teeth, preventing decay from forming in these hard-to-reach areas. Sealants last for several years, but will be monitored at your child's regular checkups.
Dental Sealants
Ask your dentist about dental sealants, protective plastic coatings that can be applied to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth where decay often starts.
