I actually look forward to staying here at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero when I travel to SF on business, so much that I have stayed here on vacation as well. I like everything about this place - service, food, location, room size and decoration, cleanliness, amenities available in the room (coffee, hair dryer, etc.), working temperature control, beautiful views on any side of the hotel, walking distance to many fantastic SF spots. I lik stepping out of the hotel and seeing a cable car right in front of me. I stay here 3 or 4 times a year, have been for many years. I miss the Christmas train set up in the lobby of past years, condolences on the passing of the employee who used to organize that. However they still do a fabulous holiday decorating job in the cool atrium lobby during November and December. Note that this is not a luxury hotel but it is not a budet hotel, either! I am here now, just finished a fabulous asparagus and crab omelette with coffee and toast, in my room for $48.
I have been in many hotels in many cities, but the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero is the only one I don't really have complaints about and actually look forward to. Good job, Hyatt!

You hear so much noise between the room and out in the street at all hours which makes for a really unpleasant stay on business. The rooms are excellent, the decor is outstandign the service is awesome.
Valet parking is a total rip off. be c areful and expect to pay a lot. Don't expect a good night sleep no matter what side of the hotel you stay on.

I am at the Hyatt Regency now and I have to say, I am impressed. The atrium inside is a brilliant sight, with long strings of grand lights running from the 14th floor down to the lobby. Away from the holidays when the lights come down, they have a fountain that draws the attention.
The bar/lounge is in the atrium, in the center of all the action. Comfortable lounge chairs and tables look inviting as you walk through the atrium. Away from the holidays when the lights come down, they have a fountain that draws the attention.
Rooms are large with a flat panel TV, ample desk space and a reading area. Bathroom is a little small, but I love that they put tooth paste in my room.
The hotel decor, from the lobby to the room is very contemporary.
Located in the center of all the action, and ideal for business travelers, I definitely recommend this hotel for your business stay in San Francisco.
