probably about 14 years ago, im estimating, i use to go the flame`s coffee shop alot with my grandmother, it was her favorite place to have breakfast, i remember the food being really good. there breakfast was delious, cakes were so moist and service was awsome! and prices were reasonable. sadly my grandmother passed away in 2010. after my grandmother`s passing my mother and i were passing by and thought in memory of my grandmother why don`t we stop and have lunch at the flame`s since we haven`t been there in ages. boy were we in for a disappointment, the decor was still the same as it was from the 90`s, rips and tears in the seats, restrooms were disgusting!, our waitress was extremely rude, she would roll her eyes every time we would ask for something, she got our order wrong three times! and worst of all.THEY DO NOT WASH THERE DISHES CORRECTLY! as i sat down as we were seated i was offered coffee as i was going to take a sip i noticed a bright red LIPSTICK STAIN ON THE CUP! i brought it to there attention and they tried saying oh are you sure it wasn`t your lipstick, really? i was wearing no makeup nor lipstick at the time, on top of that there silverware was dirty and had to be replaced, the food was not as good as it use to be just breakfast is okay. food is extremely over priced for there poor quality and they over charge you. our meals came out to 9.50 each and two cups of coffee im estimating was about 2.50 so our meal should have been about 24$. we were charged about 45$ for our lunch, they were purposely over charging us because what we ordered was right and so was the prices its just the total was way off. there was no way that was a mistake, then we went for my brother`s birthday once and it was four of us and we all had a soft drink and a meal under 10 dollar and our bill came out to 95$! we had to bring it to there attention onve again and get it fix. the service is just terrible. do not eat here i repeat do not eat here!!!! if you must go to the flame`s on Winchester, better food and service and cleaner.
