Dr. Karen Collom graduated from the University of California Berkeley with an Undergraduate degree in Biophysics in 1989. She then went on to the University of California Berkeley School of Optometry for her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1993 and completed a Primary Care residency at the Eye Institute of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1994. Since then, she was voted "Young Optometrist of the Year" in 1999 by the California Optometric Association, and had served as the President of the Bay Area Optometric Council and of the San Mateo County Optometric Society. She also served on the California Optometric Association Nomination Committee.
