Oksana's Elegant Grooming

I took my golden retriever to Oksana Elegant Grooming Pet Salon in San Ramon, California to be groomed on 8/22/15. He was fine when I dropped him off, but when I returned to pick him up five hours later he was clearly in distress. It appeared to me as if my dog had two back broken legs: his gait was almost hopping-like and his tail was dragging on the ground. I took him to the emergency vet immediately from Oksana's. He was lifted into my car by the groomer staff; he had to be carried out of my car by the emergency vet staff and later carried back into my car by the staff, and then lifted out of my car when I returned home hours later.



I incurred $750 worth of charges from the Emergency vet visit. He started on pain medications as well. Oksana, the owner of the grooming pet salon, told me her staff followed procedure and there was no incident, and she would take no responsibility for the medical bill. Instead she offered him two baths. I would never take him there again!



Bottom line: My dog walked into Oksana’s Grooming Pet Salon; he did not walk out as he came in! He has been groomed before and he has never had any problem. There clearly was an issue during this grooming process. I would very strongly discourage anyone from taking their pet to this grooming salon.

My Shi Tzu looks wonderful after a few hours at Oksanas. My dog is always very excited and happy to run in for her time at Oksanas. Dog also has her teeth brushed.
