"For the start of this new year Crane Country Day School will be holding lessons in five new classrooms. These new classrooms represent the largest building expansion project for the school since it started in 1928. This project included three new buildings comprised of two English classrooms with an adjoining library including a stone fireplace and reading nook; two math classrooms with an adjoining breakout room; a design center full of the newest technologies including 3D printers; three staff offices; two new restrooms; as well as new outdoor assembly and learning areas with an historic Oak Tree as the central focal point."

New Construction
New construction of a 6,734 square foot two story museum on an existing pier with interior tenant improvement including; exhibit areas, interactive areas, classrooms, administrative offices, laboratories, and a theater.
Demolition
Due to the complexity, volume, and quantity of building systems, during building demolition, three months of Building Information Modeling (BIM) coordination and clash mitigation was performed by all of the MEP trades. Facilitating issue resolution via BIM saved approximately six months of the construction schedule.

Landscaping and Fencing

Landscaping
Phase two consisted of demolishing the existing, outdated façade and putting in a new façade with columns, molding, planters, vine racks, and landscaping to create curb appeal for the general public. The parking lot was redesigned to allow for better parking, improved traffic flow, and upgraded lighting for vehicle and pedestrian safety.
Fencing
"Originally constructed in 1993 with hundreds of community volunteers, Kids World is a one-of-a-kind Leathers and Associates playground design. The renovation project, needed in order to keep the playground safe and accessible for future years of use, included structural improvements with code-compliant hardware and the replacement of worn wooden posts and deck boards. Improved circulation and access to the play area for two- to five-year-olds as well as additional gates and fencing established more secure play areas. Rubber wear surfaces were also installed in high-use areas. The renovation design ensures the aesthetics and adventurous atmosphere of this well-loved playground remain intact." - Courtesy of www.edhat.com
Gate Replacement/Installation
Driveways
The Music Academy of the West's most recent project with Schipper Construction Co. includes a new teaching studio building with basement, new loading dock, storage, and infill to an existing structure. Additional underground utilities, driveways, concrete walks and ramps were part of the project scope.
