PK Selective Metal Plating

I have had great experiences with PK Selective, starting with Peter Kellet, the owner. Besides the bread-and-butter electronic chassis business, PK selective does all sorts of beautiful splash, camoflage, and even art anodizing. I worked there and was able to make a beautiful coffee table using silkscreen and gradient dipping. I've done other projects there including knives and spears. Be sure to visit in person to see the electric guitar bodies on display- amazing!

I brought in a piece to have a type 3 anodization. I explained the finish I wanted and was told no problem. Came in to pick it up and found blemishes, specs, and parts that were not anodized at all. Contact the owner "Peter Kellette" who promptly took no responsibility for the poor job and began to blame everyone from the part manufacturer to the engraver. Ok, no problem...not going to blame anyone till I get more information. I contact several machinist and fabricators who all took a look at the piece and told me it was 100% bead blasting contamination and should have never been given out without redoing the process. No quality assurance to let something like this slip as it is blatantly an obvious screw up.



Contact the owner with the findings and asked for a refund. No go and promptly ceased all communication. Final nail in the coffin for PK Selective is I took the part to Global Plating in Fremont to redo the process since this company could not be trusted. They took a look at it and confirmed the mistake and could not understand how anyone could have given this back to a customer. They prompted fixed it, and did the job right with great customer service.



PK Selective has gone downhill and cannot be trusted to do a simple job. Disorganized, fly by night operation, never again.
